Yesenia Garcia (Carmen)

Yesenia Garcia is an actress, advocate, entrepreneur and educator. She is a graduate of Southwestern University (B.A. Theatre & Communication) and The University of Texas at Austin (M.F.A. Acting). As a solo artist Ms. Garcia wrote, produced and designed a bilingual one-woman show entitled REMEMBERING CHEVO, performed at Dixon Place and Alvin Ailey in New York City. Internationally, Ms. Garcia has performed and taught master acting classes to high school and college-aged students through the Promising Performing Artists of the 21st Century Program in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Ms. Garcia’s wide and varied film performances have been screened at LALIFF, SXSW, AFF, LA Shorts, Cine Sol, Clermont-Ferrand Festival in France and by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, where her film was nominated for a Student Emmy Award. Ms. Garcia’s commercial, print and voice-over work has had local, regional and national distribution for companies such as Verizon Wireless, Time Warner Cable, Dr. Pepper among others.

Ms. Garcia is passionate about education and serves as an adjunct professor at Austin Community College. The Kennedy Center of Fine Arts recently awarded Ms. Garcia with an Excellence in Acting award for her performance as Sue Jack in The Lucky Spot . She is the founder and president of C2C Multimedia, a creative media production firm in Austin, Texas. Ms. Garcia is represented by The Atherton Group (TX, CA, LA).
